“Customer,” “you,” or “your” refers to any individual or entity using our Services.
“Shipment” means all packages, parcels, or freight handled by us.
“Services” means shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, and related services provided by us.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By using our Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
3. Use of Services
You agree to use our Services only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in Jamaica and any relevant international jurisdictions.
We reserve the right to refuse service to any Customer at our sole discretion.
4. Collection and Use of Personal Data
We may collect and store your personal information when you:
• Create an account
• Use our Services
• Contact us for inquiries or support
Your information may be used for:
• Processing shipments
• Customer support
• Notifications and updates
• Compliance with legal and customs requirements
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data. However, no system is completely secure.
We may share necessary information with:
• Customs authorities
• Shipping carriers
• Regulatory bodies
5. Shipment Preparation and Responsibility
You are responsible for:
• Proper packaging and labeling
• Accurate declaration of contents and value
• Compliance with all shipping regulations
We reserve the right to refuse or delay any Shipment that is improperly packaged or documented.
6. Prohibited and Restricted Items
We do not accept Shipments containing:
• Illegal drugs or substances
• Firearms, ammunition, or weapons
• Hazardous or flammable materials
• Perishable goods (unless approved)
• Currency, jewelry, or high-value items (unless declared and insured)
• Any item prohibited under Jamaican or international law
If such items are discovered, we reserve the right to:
• Refuse shipment
• Report to authorities
• Dispose of the item without compensation
7. Delivery and Transit Times
All delivery and transit times provided are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
We are not responsible for delays caused by:
• Customs processing
• Weather conditions
• Carrier delays
• Port or airport congestion
• Events beyond our control
8. Fees and Payment
You agree to pay all applicable charges, including:
• Shipping fees
• Fuel surcharges
• Customs duties and taxes
• Storage fees (if applicable)
• Re-delivery or correction fees
Failure to pay may result in delays, withholding, or disposal of your Shipment.
9. Cancellation Policy
Shipments may be cancelled prior to dispatch. However:
• Cancellation fees may apply
• Costs already incurred will not be refunded
10. Liability Limitation
Our liability is strictly limited to the lesser of:
The actual proven value of the Shipment, OR
USD $100 per Shipment
Unless additional insurance is purchased.
We are not liable for:
• Indirect or consequential losses
• Loss of profits or business
• Damage due to improper packaging
• Undeclared or misdeclared items
Proof of value (receipt or invoice) is required for all claims.
11. Insurance
Optional insurance is available for purchase.
If insurance is purchased:
• You must declare accurate value and contents
• Claims are subject to insurer terms and conditions
• Failure to declare accurate information may void coverage.
12. Claims for Loss or Damage
All claims must:
• Be submitted within 7 days of delivery or expected delivery date
• Include supporting documents (receipt, photos, invoice)

Failure to submit within the timeframe may result in denial of the claim.
13. Storage and Uncollected Shipments
Shipments not collected within a reasonable time may incur storage fees. Unclaimed shipments may be disposed of or sold after notice.
14. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure or delay due to events beyond our control, including:
• Natural disasters
• War or civil unrest
• Government actions
• Strikes or labor disputes
15. Termination of Service
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate Services if:
• These Terms are violated
• Fraudulent or illegal activity is suspected
16. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Jamaica.
17. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Jamaica, in accordance with applicable arbitration rules.
18. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
Customers will be notified of significant changes via our website or direct communication.
Continued use of our Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
19. Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Reid’s Cargo Care and override any prior agreements or understandings.
